I have to say Doha is one of my favorite airports, it’s wide space means you rarely feel cramped when walking through the airport.

If you are wealthy and prefer a more leisurely journey, traveling to Qatar by sea is an option worth considering. The country has ports that cater to cruise ships and ferries. Doha Port, located in the heart of the city, welcomes cruise liners from various parts of the world.

Qatar is also a popular destination for luxury yacht owners. The country's marinas provide excellent facilities and services for those arriving by private yacht. You can dock directly in The Pearl, just north of Doha.

Arriving in Qatar by Land

Qatar shares its only land border with Saudi Arabia. If you are traveling from neighboring countries, such as the United Arab Emirates or Bahrain, you can reach Qatar by road. The Abu Samra border crossing is the main entry point for land travel.

Doha metro has a partnership with Karwa buses i.e Metrolink which roam around the streets and drop you at the nearest metro station. Just download the Karwa Journey Planner app or Qatar Rail and enjoy hassle free travel.

These metro link buses are not only an affordable mode of transport but also provide a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture and witness the vibrant tapestry of daily life in Doha. With air-conditioned comfort and frequent schedules, you can easily navigate through various neighborhoods, major landmarks, and even reach suburbs on these well-maintained buses.

With over a hundred bus routes crisscrossing Doha, you'll have no trouble reaching popular destinations like Souq Waqif, The Pearl-Qatar, or Katara Cultural Village. The bus fare is incredibly pocket-friendly, making it ideal for budget-conscious travelers.

To board a bus, simply purchase a reusable Smartcard from any Karwa Bus Station or authorized retailers and load it with credit. You can also pay cash for single trips; however, having a Smartcard is more convenient as you can effortlessly swipe it when boarding without worrying about exact change.
