Mexico uses the Mexican Peso as its official currency. This is the most widely used form of currency in Mexico, and is abbreviated as MXN or simply $. The peso has been in use since 1821, when it replaced the Spanish colonial real. It is currently divided into 100 smaller units called centavos.

The green stripe represents hope, the white stripe symbolizes purity, and the red stripe stands for the blood of Mexican heroes. The coat of arms features an eagle perched on a cactus while devouring a snake, which represents the Aztec legend of the founding of Tenochtitlan, the ancient capital of Mexico. The coat of arms is surrounded by an oak and laurel wreath, which symbolizes strength and victory.
The country code for Mexico is +52. This is the international dialing code used to make phone calls to Mexico from other countries.
Mexico's country code is also known as its international direct dialing (IDD) number. This number is used when making a call from another country to a Mexican phone number. You'll need to add the +52 prefix before the Mexican telephone number in order for the call to be connected successfully.
The internet code for Mexico is .mx. This two-letter country code is assigned to Mexico by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). It's used in domain names and other online identifiers to indicate that the website or account is associated with Mexico.
